How did Enlightenment ideas influence the French Revolution?
Q. How, and to what extent, did Enlightenment ideas about religion and society shape the policies of the French Revolution from the time period 1789-1799? So far I have that the Enlightenment provided the French with the ideas of human rights. separation of govt. and church. I am also writing about voltaire, montesquieu, Roseau, Dierot and how their ideas influenced the ideas of French documents and leaders.
