How do you make a brain for a kids science project?
Q. My daughter (10) is making a paper mache head, the size of a balloon, which you can open up to reveal a brain, and then highlighting the parts of the brain that are affected by cerebral palsy. Does anyone have any idea how or what to make the brain with. Thanks for any answers, im stumpted!

A. WEll the first thing that came to my mind was those Halloween Jell-o molds of brains but that might be a little too messy. Maybe this might work: Wad up a bunch of newspaper until it's the basic shape of a brain and cover with the painters tape to hold the shape. Add some food coloring to your glue to make the brain look bloody. This adds a touch of realism to your brain, and makes it more frightening. Take a slice of bread and remove the edges. Roll the rest of slice into a long thin shape, compacting it tightly. The tighter you can get it the better. Cover the bread with glue and wind it around the base of your fake brain. Make sure your bread rolls wind and wriggle all over rather than run in straight lines. Allow each section to… [cont.]
