Age of enlightenment.?
Q. Firstly, this is a question for people with an imagination and ability to concider something other than what society has drilled into them. The Mayans, as well as other ancient civilizations speak of the age of enlightenment. They speak of this happening at 2012, as the 'new world order'. As already said, this is a question for people willing to explore possibilities. I'm not looking for answers telling me nothing will happen, or that you are sick of answering these questions. My question is this: what are your thoughts about what the 'age of enlightenment' could be, and how do you think it would happen? For instance, some people think that solar radiation will alter our DNA, and our world will be revealed to have been a hologram,… [cont.]

A. In a sense, music always alters your consciousness. Upbeat music can make us feel happy. Somber music can make us feel reflective. You can choose the mood you want by the music you select. Very often, composers organize whole pieces ( works) to create an overall musical sojourn that takes us through a gamut of emotional states. This is most often true in classical symphonic works. The great masters are best at this. I particularly like Beethoven for his sense of drama throughout an entire piece. J.S. Bach is the highest master in all regards. However, he was so prolific that you can easily select certain types of musical "moods" from his enormous body of works. I like his up-tempo inventions for bright energetic background music. Is it possible for a male to have a consciousness altering orgasm, & be a better human being from it?
Q. Well, since girls (women) really can have an infinite amount of orgasms. Guys can only have one significant Rush, and maybe a couple more lesser ones in a day, . . . I was just curious. Coz usually it just goes to a guys head. But do any guys actually learn to appreciate some quality beyond the sexual experience of that particular moment, of their own life, of their partner, or other meaningful enlightenment.

A. Several of the treatments for mood disorders involve various ways of inducing small seizures. A major orgasm is quite similar to one. If a guy really goes off, there is some chance that he could alter his brain chemistry, and clear the switchboard, I suppose. If that were really true, it might lead to a decrease in the female pseudo-headache. This may be the most popular therapy in history, and I am going to begin research, now.

How to do spiritual things?
Q. I'm learning a lot about spiritual things, enlightenment, altered states, etc. and I want to reach those things. So I know two things I'm going to do; Meditation and Yoga. But, is that all I have to do to live a spiritual life? What do people that you hear about in the Himalayas, and other places, that are trying to reach enlightenment do? I'm sorry if I'm unclear(to be honest, I'm not really sure about what I'm trying to do). But, thank you for helping! To clarify, if I do yoga and meditation, will I reach enlightenment, etc.? Edit- If I do yoga and meditation, will I be able to think really deeply, and connect with the sub-conscious? Go into a altered state of consciousness? Go into a sleep(specifically dreaming) state during meditation/y [cont.]

He was a monk that labored in a monastery kitchen most of his life.He did very menial tasks, but devoted all his labors to God and fellow man. He was considered holy. A.R.Choudhury, aka Dadaji, an enlightened householder agrees with brother Lawrence's method. Dadaji said all austerities, yoga's, meditations are un needed - a waste of your time. God's lessons unfold before you every day. Just be involved in living life and dealing with life's lessons with the name of God always on your mind. If we look at American history as our example, do you think that people were supporting slavery when they bought goods from plantations that owned slaves? Just like back then, it is easier (and cheaper) to buy goods that are made with cheaper labor. With all but one (AE, although it is a customer of NLS (National Logistic Services), which is accused of human rights violations) of my favorite mid-range clothing stores on the list of companies who violate human rights, I would have to say no to drastically changing my buying habits to alleviate such conditions. Could the prophets of the world have been sent here to teach about God, but their words were corrupted by men.?
Q. Is it possible that Jesus, Muhammed, and the Buddha have all been sent by God to spread enlightenment, but when men recorded their lives and words they were altered? If that is true, why has Buddhism remained the most God-like of them.? I know that Buddhism does not have a deity, but what it teaches is the most God-like, in my opinion.

A. That goes along with my theory that always gets thumbs down from people: We all worship the same Entity. We just give it different names and attributes that as a society, we can understand or relate to.

Alien encounters and Sleep Paralysis...?
Q. I have experienced Sleep Paralysis since I was 5 (didn't find out that's what it was until I was in my 20's). I read an article at Yahoo today about Alien encounters and they mentioned how sleep paralysis could be an explanation. When I have sleep paralysis, I know I am having it, so I know whatever I 'see/hear' is not really there...I know some people randomly experience it once or twice in their life, so they may not realize what is happening, and think it's some kind of supernatural encounter. So if someone has never experienced an altered state of mind, they could easily confuse it and believe it to be real. I really do not think that aliens beam us up, poke and prod us with their high tech instruments and inject us with a curious… [cont.]

A Utopia of Ethic, Reason & Philosophy?
Q. Have any philosophers or politicians ever postulated for Ethics, Reason and Philosophy to be the most fundamental in a society? What system of government would be the most efficient in ensuring individual liberty, autonomy and sovereignty through Ethics, Reason and Philosophy? Would Media be the right hand of this system? Or ought the education syllabus be altered to place emphasis on philosophical thinking? Would logic, philosophy and a strong moral compass lead to a Utopia of Collective Consciousness ? How can this universal enlightenment be attained? Eugenics? Purging with a Fourth Reich? Or will we evolve as a species? Will we be Gods; will Pure Reason & Ethics abolish what makes us human? Which option appeals to you? Will we… [cont.]

A. I don't think any philosophers have ever pushed for a government based on ethics, reaosn, and philosophy. Mainly because a country based on solely these things would not be able to survive or sustain itself in a world of competitive and non-ethical nations. It would be swallowed up by an unethical country and would not be able to fight back, bacause that in turn would be unethical. We will all eventually evolve, socially and poltically and ethically, but universal enlightenment is a virtually mythical concept. Survival of the fittest makes us naturally unethical and competitive.

I used to have really cosmic, life altering thoughts when I was high, but now I get all goofy. Why?
Q. I started smoking weed about 2 years ago. I used to think about where my life is, how I act socially, god, life after death, the condition of America and even the world, what we can do to save the environment, all sorts of cosmic, important stuff like that. When I smoke weed now, the only place I can seem to find that sort of enlightenment is way out in the woods on top of the highest mountains in my state, alone. Now, don't get me wrong, I'd love to live my entire life in the mountains, and do plan on it after I graduate, but right now I'm 15 and have no way to get there unless my sister is hiking with me, and then when we smoke I'm not alone, which makes it so that I don't have these thoughts. I smoke weed more often than I go into… [cont.]

A. Young one, in order to achieve oneness you must first become one with nature. For she is the mother of all. To control your thoughts and yourself you must first learn to control nature, watch I will make the leaves grow... close your eyes (for 3 months) You will be ready when you open your eyes
